2026年9月29日～10月1日に京都で開催された「46th SICOT Orthopaedic World Congress（SICOT 2026）」に参加し、SICOT/CCJR Meeting Award Best oralを受賞しました。
今回、“Long-Term Durability of Zirconia Ceramic Head in Total Hip Arthroplasty: Over 20-Year of Wear Comparison with Metal-on-Polyethylene Bearing”という演題で、人工股関節全置換術（THA）におけるジルコニアセラミック骨頭の20年以上の長期耐久性について発表しました。
本研究では、ジルコニアセラミック骨頭と金属骨頭を用いたTHAについて、20年以上にわたるポリエチレン摩耗の推移を比較検討し、術後10年以降にジルコニアセラミック骨頭における摩耗が加速することを報告しました。ジルコニアセラミック特有の構造特性の変化（相転移）による影響が示唆されました。THAの長期成績を考えるうえで、20年以上の経過を追跡できたことは本研究の大きな成果と考えています。
今回の受賞を励みに、今後も長期臨床成績を大切にしながら、日々の診療から生まれる疑問を研究につなげ、東京医大から世界に向けて研究成果を発信できるよう精進していきたいと思います。

Thank you very much for this wonderful award.
I am truly honored. My presentation focused on the results of a 20-year follow-up study of zirconia heads. After 20 years, we found that even zirconia is subject to wear and phase transitions.
Coincidentally, I also have been an orthopedic surgeon for about 20 years. So, just like zirconia heads? I will do my best to avoid excessive wear—and, if possible, I hope to avoid any phase transitions during my life as well!
